Location: Little Rock, Arkansas area; candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the area. Approximately 40–50% fieldwork and regional travel is expected.

Salary: $79,400–$103,000 annual salary, plus eligibility for a bonus.

What you will do

  • Manage tasks and projects involving environmental review, permitting, and compliance for natural gas pipelines, electric transmission lines, and associated facilities.
  • Analyze environmental impacts and support project-specific permit applications.
  • Conduct environmental fieldwork, reporting, and construction or operational compliance activities.
  • Perform biological and wetland surveys and stormwater inspections when needed.
  • Prepare, edit, and produce detailed technical documents and reports.
  • Coordinate with internal project managers, task managers, clients, and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental studies, environmental engineering, water resources, geology, biology, wetland science, natural resources, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of environmental fieldwork and/or permitting experience, preferably in the energy industry.
  • 2–3 years of experience or familiarity with permitting processes involving the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, NPDES, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, FERC, State Historic Preservation Offices, or other regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to work independently, conduct fieldwork with minimal supervision, travel locally and regionally, and work outdoors in varied conditions.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and task-management skills, with the ability to produce clear written deliverables.
  • U.S. work authorization is verified through the E-Verify program; reliable transportation is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with energy-related projects and environmental permitting.
  • Familiarity with deputy project management or project management.
