Sr. Field Applications Engineer (Power Semiconductors)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; willingness to drive to local customers and spend time in the lab as needed

Salary: $130,000–$175,000 per year target hiring range in California

What you will do

• Provide technical support to key MPS accounts in the San Jose area.
• Engage with customers and secure design wins incorporating MPS products and services.
• Support customer designs involving multiphase, high-current DC/DC power solutions.
• Review schematics and PCB layouts and help customers meet their technical requirements.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to US revenue growth.
• Share customer technical needs, market developments, and competitor activity to support product strategy.

Requirements

• BSEE or MSEE with 5+ years of experience in power management and analog systems.
• Hands-on experience with point-of-load DC/DC power conversion.
• Ability to work directly with customers, solve technical problems, and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Strong analytical, independent-work, self-motivation, and interpersonal skills.
• Oral and written English proficiency required.
• Must be located in San Jose, California, and willing to drive to local customers and work in the lab as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with multiphase Intel and/or AMD VR requirements and specifications.
