Senior Financial Analyst (Aerospace)

Location: San Diego, CA, United States. The role requires eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance and compliance with U.S. Government export regulations; U.S. citizenship or another qualifying U.S. status is required.

Salary: $125,000–$175,000 per year.

What you will do

• Serve as the financial lead for assigned defense and commercial programs, partnering with business, product line, program, operations, contracts, and executive leadership.
• Lead quarterly Estimates at Complete for fixed-price and cost-reimbursable contracts to support accurate revenue and profit recognition.
• Drive monthly and annual budgeting, variance analysis, and long-range forecasting.
• Track execution risks, assess impacts on program cost and schedule, and identify financial opportunities.
• Build advanced Excel and Power BI dashboards and brief senior leadership on program health.
• Support cost proposals, pricing strategies, business cases, audits, and compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and GAAP.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 3 years in aerospace, defense, or government contracting.
• Deep understanding of FAR, DFARS, CAS regulations, and government contract types.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, financial modeling, and forecasting tools such as NetSuite, ForProject, or MS Project.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
• Eligibility under U.S. Government ITAR export regulations is required.

• Experience with both fixed-price and cost-reimbursable contracts.
