Senior Manager, HR Systems (Workday)

What you will do

• Own the strategy, governance, security, health, scalability, and continuous improvement of Workday across HCM, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Absence, Scheduler, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, and Talent Management.
• Lead, coach, and develop a five-person Workday platform team while building cross-training, succession coverage, and capability development.
• Design the future-state team structure and operating model across configuration, integrations, automation, reporting, testing, releases, security, support, and continuous improvement.
• Manage intake, prioritization, capacity planning, sourcing, portfolio tradeoffs, platform metrics, service levels, incidents, defects, adoption, and automation impact.
• Use AI, workflow automation, integrations, knowledge capabilities, and self-service to reduce manual work and improve employee and manager experiences.
• Partner with People, Finance, Internal Audit, IT, and external providers to deliver compliant, scalable solutions and contribute to complex design or configuration work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Seven or more years of experience in Workday or enterprise HR technology and at least two years leading technical teams.
• Broad Workday expertise covering business processes, configuration, security, reporting, calculated fields, testing, release management, production support, and integrations.
• Experience owning an enterprise platform, including governance, standards, controls, roadmap planning, risk management, and operation in a SOX-controlled or similarly regulated environment.
• Strong people leadership, change leadership, capacity planning, portfolio prioritization, operational management, KPI management, stakeholder communication, and vendor leadership skills.
• A gaming license issued by the appropriate state agency may be required as a condition of employment.
