Product Performance Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Characterize target workloads across compute, memory, bandwidth, and latency requirements on multiple hardware platforms.
• Model performance across silicon, system, service, and end-to-end user-experience layers.
• Develop and maintain analytical and simulation-based models across design and assumption variants.
• Collaborate with silicon, software, hardware, model, and service teams to align assumptions and deliver performance insights.
• Validate models against measured workload behavior and improve their fidelity.
• Identify performance risks and design opportunities, then communicate actionable recommendations to architects, engineers, and leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience analyzing workload behavior and modeling system performance for consumer or data center products.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience with profiling, benchmarking, and tracing tools across the stack.
• Strong Python programming skills and proficiency in at least one systems language: C, C++, or Rust.
• Ability to translate quantitative analysis into architectural recommendations.

Nice to have

• MS or PhD in a relevant technical discipline.
• Experience with hardware/software co-design and architectural exploration tooling.
• Familiarity with accelerator, SoC, or memory subsystem architecture.
• Ability to combine rigorous quantitative analysis with cross-functional influence.
• Curiosity, technical depth, and willingness to learn new system domains quickly.
