Hardware Validation Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

What you will do

• Qualify next-generation compute hardware including GPUs, servers, and racks against deployment standards.
• Build and execute benchmark suites to characterize performance, power, and thermal metrics under real workloads.
• Perform stress testing, fault injection, and endurance runs to identify hardware weaknesses early.
• Document fleet standards, configurations, and firmware issues in qualification reports.
• Collaborate with vendors to debug hardware issues and ship necessary fixes.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience qualifying, validating, or debugging server or GPU systems.
• Rigorous approach to benchmarking with reproducible methods and controlled variables.
• Proven ability to root-cause hardware failures across silicon, firmware, and system levels.
• Strong scripting skills for test automation.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with NVIDIA or AMD accelerator platforms.
• Deep knowledge of BMC and firmware.
• Expertise in thermal and power characterization.
• Advanced Linux systems knowledge.
