Senior Product Manager (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the United States; ideally based in AL, AZ, CA, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, ID, IL, LA, MA, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OR, OH, PA, RI, SC, TX, VA, WA, or WI. Candidates must already have the right to work in the United States without employment-based visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Own money movement across Same-Day ACH, RTP, wires, push-to-card, payroll cards, employer payouts, and worker payout experiences.
• Design reusable, rail-agnostic payment services with explicit API and data contracts, multi-tenant scalability, backward compatibility, migration paths, SLAs, and observability.
• Write detailed PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, state and error handling, field-level mappings, and technical scopes, then work directly with engineering through delivery and production validation.
• Define payment success metrics, guardrails, experiments, staged rollouts, canary releases, holdbacks, rollback criteria, and analytics instrumentation.
• Bring structure to ambiguous problems, reverse-engineer incomplete current-state documentation, and improve decision quality through explicit assumptions and trade-offs.
• Align Engineering, Payment Operations, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Customer Success, Business Development, sponsor banks, processors, card networks, and data aggregators.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience, including 5+ years building payments or financial infrastructure products.
• Under-the-hood knowledge of ACH, RTP, wires, card rails, domestic settlement, returns, exceptions, retries, cutoff windows, and reconciliation.
• Experience owning live bank payment integrations and building reusable payment services with API and data contracts.
• Experience working with sponsor banks, processors, or card networks across technical integration, commercial, and compliance requirements.
• Strong technical fluency with API contracts, data models, end-to-end data flows, third-party integrations, architecture discussions, SQL or scripting, and production incidents.
• Experience with payment systems at scale, ambiguous 0-to-1 B2B products, experimentation discipline, staged rollouts, cross-functional alignment, and agile delivery.

Nice to have

• Earned Wage Access, payroll, on-demand pay, card issuing, or payroll card program experience.
• Experience with treasury, ledgers, reconciliation, cash management, distributed engineering capacity, or experimentation and analytics tooling.
• Familiarity with Reg E, CFPB guidance, NACHA operating rules, PCI, state money transmission, or open banking frameworks.
• Experience at a 50–500 person company where the financial platform was still being assembled.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
