Principal Electrical Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Wilmington, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $165,000–$250,000 per year, plus potential annual incentive and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Develop electrical and electronic solutions from early concept and system architecture through prototyping, testing, verification, manufacturing, and production.
• Design analog and digital circuits, power systems, embedded electronics, sensor interfaces, instrumentation, PCB assemblies, and electromechanical control systems.
• Build, troubleshoot, and refine prototypes using laboratory equipment and hands-on experimentation.
• Lead technical collaboration with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, industrial design, and systems engineers.
• Work directly with clients on technical reviews, demonstrations, requirements, and innovative product solutions.
• Partner with suppliers and manufacturing teams to transition designs into production.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience developing electrical or electronic products.
• Experience taking products from concept through manufacturing in a consulting services environment.
• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring or coaching less experienced engineers.
• Experience with analog and digital circuit design, PCB design and layout, embedded electronics, and microcontroller-based systems.
• Experience with electrical design and simulation tools such as Altium, OrCAD, PSpice, or similar, plus hands-on hardware debugging and design validation.
