Engineering Manager (SaaS)

Location: Remote, Amman, Jordan. Flexible working hours with a required 10am stand-up.

hirify.global is a restaurant management ecosystem and payment technology provider operating a SaaS business across the MENA region.

What you will do

• Lead a team of full-stack engineers and support their growth, performance, and engagement.
• Turn quarterly roadmaps into realistic delivery plans, track progress, and report status using metrics.
• Manage agile delivery processes, dependencies, risks, and blockers across teams and external integration partners.
• Review RFCs and technical proposals, assessing architecture, scalability, security, and integration risks.
• Lead technical discussions with POS, PMS, payment gateway, and other third-party integration partners.
• Improve delivery and quality metrics, including cycle time, deployment frequency, change-failure rate, defect escape rate, OKRs, and DORA KPIs.

Requirements

• Experience managing software engineering teams and delivering commitments predictably.
• Strong command of agile and lean delivery practices, including sprints, Kanban, estimation, and refinement.
• Experience coordinating dependencies across multiple teams and external partners.
• Technical ability to review architecture and technical proposals, assess scalability and integration risks, and lead engineering discussions.
• Fluency with delivery and quality metrics and the ability to communicate blockers and decisions clearly.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with B2B SaaS and high-volume B2C traffic patterns.
• Background in hospitality technology, food and beverage, payments, or last-mile delivery.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, GitHub, PHP/Symfony, Node, TypeScript, Capacitor, Ionic, or React Native.
• Experience integrating POS, PMS, payment gateways, or delivery aggregators.
• Experience hiring and scaling engineering teams in the MENA region.
