What you will do
- Lead an engineering team, owning delivery, professional development, performance management, and team growth.
- Write and review code while guiding architectural and technical design decisions.
- Maintain engineering standards, scalable components, and a healthy release process.
- Own roadmap commitments, planning, prioritization, delivery quality, and adaptation to changing business needs.
- Partner with Product and Technical Product leadership on scope, sequencing, trade-offs, and business alignment.
- Hire engineers, develop future technical and people leaders, and mentor engineering managers across the organization.
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience, including 4+ years in engineering management while actively coding.
- Hands-on experience building and operating cloud-based SaaS products in production on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience owning service availability, cost, customer-facing functionality, and API-first product development.
- Strong knowledge of databases, SQL, query optimization, and BigQuery.
- Senior-level fluency in the team's primary technical stack, including code development and review.
- Demonstrated ability to improve engineering delivery, technical quality, team capability, hiring, coaching, and performance management.
Nice to have
- Established AI-augmented workflows and experience with AI tools or agentic workflows.
- Hands-on experience with multiple cloud providers.
- Experience scaling teams, processes, or technical systems.
