Accounting Manager (Biotech)

Salary: $135,000–$155,000 annually

What you will do

• Manage accounting operations and coordinate contractors supporting day-to-day accounting activities.
• Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and analyses for prepaids, accruals, leases, and fixed assets.
• Prepare monthly management financial packages, balance sheet and income statement analyses, and other management reports.
• Reconcile payroll-related accounts and prepare payroll journal entries.
• Support accounts payable operations, including vendor invoices, payment processing, and purchase order reconciliation.
• Improve and automate accounting processes while ensuring tax, audit, and financial reporting compliance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, ideally combining public accounting and private industry experience.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Experience managing external service providers and cross-functional relationships.
• Ability to work independently and deliver results in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in NetSuite; advanced Excel and Google Sheets and Docs skills are advantageous.
