What you will do

• Provide practical guidance on Korean regulatory requirements, including high-frequency trading surveillance guidelines.
• Advise algorithm development and business development teams on Korea compliance matters.
• Build relationships with and act as a liaison to Korean regulators, including the FSS and KRX.
• Review new business initiatives for compliance before launch and support compliance risk assessments.
• Design and review trade surveillance reports and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
• Investigate regulatory inquiries and prepare accurate responses for examinations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, law, or a related field.
• 15+ years of direct experience with Korean regulatory matters and strong relationships with Korean regulators.
• Extensive knowledge of Korean market structure.
• Strong familiarity with algorithmic proprietary trading strategies and technology concepts.
• Korean as a first language and English proficiency are required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives.
