Compliance Manager – Hong Kong (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead the Hong Kong compliance function and act as the senior compliance representative for the market.
• Maintain the MSO licence and manage interactions with Hong Kong Customs & Excise Department, JFIU, and other regulators.
• Own the Hong Kong AML/CTF framework, including risk assessments, KYC, CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions controls, and regulatory reporting.
• Support product launches, payment corridors, commercial expansion, and banking relationships with risk-based compliance advice.
• Lead compliance projects, regulatory inspections, audits, licence renewals, governance activities, and regional training.
• Improve financial crime controls and operational efficiency through automation and AI.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, or payments.
• Significant experience with the Hong Kong AML regulatory framework and MSO licensing obligations.
• Direct experience working with regulators and banking partners, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Independent project delivery skills, strong judgement, commercial awareness, organisation, and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin, spoken and written, with Cantonese required.
• CAMS, ICA Diploma, or an equivalent professional qualification.
