What you will do

• Define and own the European compliance and product safety strategy for food and non-food e-commerce operations.
• Build the European compliance operating model, governance structures, capabilities, standards, playbooks, and accountability mechanisms.
• Lead and develop country Compliance Business Partners across European markets and the UK-based core compliance team.
• Oversee trade compliance activities, including customs, classification, sanctions screening, and restricted goods in partnership with logistics.
• Support safe storage, handling, and movement of dangerous goods across warehousing, fulfilment, and transport operations.
• Lead the compliance risk framework and partner with Product, Commercial, Operations, Legal, Public Policy, Tax, and Technology teams on regulatory challenges.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in food and/or non-food product compliance, product safety, and risk management.
• Experience leading multi-country or multi-market compliance teams and building a central compliance function.
• Strong knowledge of trade compliance, including customs, classification, sanctions, and restricted goods.
• Knowledge of dangerous-goods storage and handling requirements in retail, logistics, or e-commerce environments.
• Experience with regulated product categories, ideally pharmacy or healthcare.
• Strong strategic, analytical, executive communication, risk management, and cross-functional influencing skills.
