Compliance & AML Lead (Hong Kong)

What you will do

• Act as the Manager in Charge of Compliance and AML for a Hong Kong entity and oversee the VASP license application with the SFC.
• Lead regulatory communications, examinations, inspections, and supervisory engagement in Hong Kong.
• Design and maintain the compliance framework covering AML, CTF, sanctions, KYC/KYB, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting.
• Own policies, procedures, controls, risk assessments, monitoring, testing, remediation, governance, and audit readiness.
• Partner with Business, Product, Risk, and Legal teams to embed compliance into business processes.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global compliance team while adapting to regulatory developments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline from Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the UK, or the US.
• 6–10 years of compliance experience in a bank, financial institution, fintech, or crypto firm.
• Experience interacting directly with regulatory agencies in Hong Kong and exposure to licensing, regulatory governance, or compliance monitoring.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight timelines.
