3D Print Technician (3D Printing)

Location: Huntington Beach, California, United States; on-site. Work includes a night shift and may require long hours.

Salary: $26–$30 per hour for Level I; $30–$34 per hour for Level II, plus equity.

What you will do

• Set up, calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot 3D printers during overnight production with minimal supervision.
• Inspect printed components, adjust printer settings, and maintain quality records.
• Select, load, store, and manage printing materials according to specifications.
• Perform routine printer maintenance and keep equipment and the shop floor clean, organized, and safe.
• Clean and finish printed parts through trimming, sanding, and other post-processing techniques.
• Document print jobs and communicate production issues and process-improvement feedback to shop leadership and the day team.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in 3D printing or a related field.
• Proficiency with CAD software and slicing tools, plus experience with hand fabrication and finishing.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to work independently on an off-shift in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and lift up to 50 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; Mach participates in E-Verify. Access to ITAR/EAR-controlled information may require authorization without export-license sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Experience with FDM, SLA/DLP, SLS, MJF, or other 3D printing processes.
• Knowledge of polymer and composite materials, specialty resins, and engineering-grade filaments.
• Experience in a regulated or ISO-certified laboratory or manufacturing setting.
