TL;DR
Additive Manufacturing Technician (Post Processing Operations) (Metal Additive Manufacturing): Post-processing 3D-printed metal parts from finished print through shipment, including powder handling, EDM operation, support removal, surface finishing, inspection, and cleaning with an accent on precision and production readiness. Focus on operating complex post-processing equipment, improving workflows for mass production, and maintaining consistent part quality in an onsite R&D and manufacturing environment.
Location: Los Angeles, CA (on-site); full-time onsite presence five days a week. The facility is based in Hawthorne.
Salary: $25–$40 per hour, plus stock options.

What you will do
- Operate, maintain, and monitor wire EDMs, surface grinders, sandblasters, deburring tools, bandsaws, and other post-processing equipment.
- Handle metal powders and post-process 3D-printed parts through depowdering, precision cleaning, support removal, and surface finishing.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives that streamline post-processing operations and support mass production.
- Turn over builds and ensure powders, tools, and equipment are consistently available.
- Assist with visual inspection and shipment of finished parts.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience supporting metal additive manufacturing processes or precision deburring of machined parts.
- Extreme attention to detail and an interest in process improvement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional R&D and production environment.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 lb unassisted, climb ladders, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Willingness and availability to work overtime when needed.
Nice to have
- Experience operating complex equipment.
- Manual machining, welding, cutting, fitting, or bending experience with stainless steel, aluminum, or high-strength nickel alloys.
- Experience using power tools, hand tools, cranes, forklifts, or other heavy equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
