HVAC Technician Helper - Rental Services (HVAC)

Location: Springfield, Tennessee, United States. Field-based work is conducted onsite at customer locations, with overtime, weekend work, and occasional overnight stays as required.

Salary: $13.87–$33.97 per hour.

What you will do

• Assist Rental HVAC Field Technicians with installing, repairing, replacing, modifying, and servicing environmental control systems.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, site surveys, and service requests.
• Support end-to-end testing, startup, commissioning, and servicing of assigned projects.
• Coordinate with supervising field technicians, project managers, customers, and vendors to plan materials and synchronize onsite work.
• Use software, handheld devices, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Follow strict safety procedures and maintain records of company assets, equipment use, wear, and condition.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a certificate from an accredited technical school.
• At least 2 years of HVAC experience; technical school or formal training is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld computers such as smartphones or iPads.
• Valid driver's license held for at least 12 months.
• Driving record must have no major or frequent violations, including DUI, hit-and-run, license suspension, reckless or careless driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions during the previous 3 years.
• This is a safety-sensitive role and may require additional drug screening.
