Photonics Test Engineer

What you will do

• Execute device and PIC characterization (EO, OE, OO) at chip and wafer levels.
• Set up and run high-speed measurements including bandwidth, BER, and eye diagrams.
• Develop and maintain test automation scripts using LabVIEW and Python.
• Support wafer probing, optical alignment, and test setup bring-up.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex lab test setups and measurement issues.
• Analyze test data and provide actionable feedback to design and process teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in EE, Physics, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in photonics device testing or optical lab work.
• Hands-on experience with high-speed measurement equipment such as VNA, oscilloscopes, and BERT.
• Working proficiency in LabVIEW and/or Python for test automation.
• Familiarity with instrument control (VISA/SCPI).
• Experience with optical alignment, fiber handling, and wafer probing.
