Senior Infrastructure Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: United States; remote within the country. The role participates in a shared US-business-hours on-call rotation.

Annual base pay: $181,000–$220,000 for the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City; $157,000–$195,000 for all other US locations. Performance-based bonuses and equity may also be available.

What you will do

• Operate and optimize Snowflake in production, including warehouse consumption, cost monitoring, RBAC, metadata tagging, and query-performance troubleshooting.
• Build and operate AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure as code with Terraform and deploy it through ArgoCD GitOps.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or comparable tooling for application and infrastructure delivery.
• Drive performance, scalability, and cost optimization through FinOps practices, resource tagging, and cost attribution.
• Harden IAM, RBAC, networking, secrets management, observability, and compliance alignment with HIPAA and SOC2 expectations.
• Participate in on-call operations and collaborate with engineering, data, security, and developer teams.

Requirements

• Production experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse, including SQL, warehouse operations, and query-performance fundamentals.
• Production AWS infrastructure experience with attention to security and cost.
• Strong Terraform infrastructure-as-code proficiency.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Scripting and automation skills in Python, Go, or Bash, plus CI/CD experience with at least one delivery tool.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and the ability to validate generated output before production use.

Nice to have

• Advanced Snowflake administration, SQL, and data-warehouse internals.
• Experience with Spark, Airflow, or dbt.
• FinOps or cloud cost-optimization experience.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, SOC2, data governance, and compliance requirements.
