Senior Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid work arrangement.

Base salary: $190,000–$210,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, build, and own secure, scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform, reusable modules, and paved-road patterns.
• Own data infrastructure across Postgres, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB, and Snowflake, including high availability, backups, disaster recovery, and migrations.
• Build a self-service developer platform with CI/CD, testing, and local and ephemeral environments.
• Establish observability standards with Datadog for monitoring, alerting, and tracing.
• Improve engineering standards for maintainability, performance, reliability, code quality, and security through standards, reviews, and mentorship.
• Partner with product teams to develop platform capabilities and strengthen IAM, network security, and PHI handling in HIPAA and SOC 2 environments.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong ownership experience building operational maturity, standards, and scalable systems.
• Experience with AWS, including Fargate, Lambda, and Step Functions; Terraform and Infrastructure as Code; Python; Docker; GitHub Actions; and CI/CD.
• Experience with Postgres, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB, Snowflake or a similar cloud data platform, and workflow orchestration tools such as Temporal or Airflow.
• Experience with Datadog monitoring, alerting, and tracing.
• Experience in regulated environments such as healthcare or finance, with knowledge of security and sensitive data requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience working with emerging technologies and identifying opportunities to improve platform capabilities and operational efficiency.
• Experience developing AI-natively with tools such as Claude Code.
