Chemistry Technician II (Analytical Chemistry)

Location: Danbury, Connecticut, United States; first-shift schedule with some flexibility in hours and occasional overtime.

Compensation: $25.00–$33.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Operate gas-phase analytical techniques including FTIR, CRDS, GC-DID, GC-PDHID, and GC-TCD.
• Perform physical testing for ALD Coatings using XRF, ellipsometry, and nanoindentation.
• Safely conduct routine laboratory testing for existing products, new product development, and customer requests.
• Handle gas cylinders, operate gas manifolds, report results, and identify issues with analytical processes.
• Set up experiments, analyze data, and communicate results to the team.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and support laboratory instrumentation and practices under ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience working with hazardous materials and completing laboratory work safely.
• Ability to learn and become proficient in multiple analytical techniques.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, coordination, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and respond effectively to changing situations.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science.
• One to three years of experience operating analytical instruments and analyzing data.
• Experience with method development, gas cylinders, gas manifolds, GC, and FTIR.
• Certifications or training in Six Sigma, semiconductor manufacturing, or ISO standards.
