What you will do

• Design, develop, and operate high-performance consumer iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C.
• Own the full system lifecycle, including API design, instrumentation, CI/CD deployment, monitoring, testing, experimentation, and iteration.
• Modernize architecture by decomposing monoliths, building shared libraries and frameworks, and improving modularization across iOS, Android, and Web.
• Evaluate and roll out new Apple platform capabilities, operating systems, device types, form factors, and architectures.
• Build the internal AI harness, including agents, automation frameworks, evaluation pipelines, and guardrails.
• Define observability, telemetry, and fault-tolerance standards while partnering with product, design, backend, and data teams and mentoring developers.

Requirements

• Deep production experience with Swift, SwiftUI, modern concurrency including async/await and actors, and Objective-C interoperability.
• Experience personally owning and operating a consumer iOS application at significant scale, such as 1M+ monthly active users, across many release cycles.
• Daily, fluent use of AI coding tools in production, with the ability to own code correctness, architecture, and quality while AI generates most of the code.
• Architect-level judgment and experience setting technical direction for major systems or modules across multiple teams.
• Hands-on production reliability experience with SLOs/SLIs, instrumentation, telemetry pipelines, on-call rotation, incident triage, and live diagnostics.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring, system-level debugging, performance optimization, and measurable reliability or user-impact improvements.
