General Manager (TransitTech)

Location: On-site in Montgomery, Alabama, United States

Salary: $110,000–$160,000 per year, excluding equity or variable pay where applicable.

What you will do

• Manage the daily on-site operations of hirify.global’s intermodal transit service in Montgomery.
• Act as the real-time point of contact for drivers and dispatchers, prioritizing operational issues and solving round-the-clock scheduling challenges.
• Manage, mentor, coach, and develop dispatchers, shift managers, and drivers.
• Build relationships with driver partners, customers, community leaders, local organizations, senior management, and external partners.
• Establish team metrics, track KPIs, prepare reports, and analyze data to improve processes, resource allocation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company policies and regulations governing service operations.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience as an operations manager.
• At least 3–5 years of experience managing and developing teams.
• Extensive experience leading support teams and motivating people.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, prioritization, delegation, and execution skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with a high level of responsibility.
• Successful completion of a drug test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle records check is mandatory for employment.
