Launch Operations Principal

Location: New York City or San Francisco; requires willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Salary: $120,000–$160,000; excludes equity and variable pay where applicable.

What you will do

• Own the launch of new hirify.global services, including technology implementation, operational setup, and transition into ongoing service.
• Define and manage KPIs covering on-time performance, rider satisfaction, safety, and cost efficiency, translating performance data into operational decisions.
• Lead a 30+ person team of field operators and drivers through hiring, coaching, performance management, culture setting, and frontline leadership development.
• Manage hirify.global’s relationship with public transit agency partners and represent hirify.global to community stakeholders, local officials, and riders.
• Drive continuous improvement across vehicle operations, maintenance protocols, and service delivery while improving cost efficiency without compromising service.
• Influence the product roadmap for hirify.global’s newest product lines.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in operations, consulting, strategy, technology, or a field involving meaningful client accountability, with demonstrated ability to lead major projects and develop teams.
• Ownership mentality, including planning ahead, managing risks, designing preventive processes, identifying problems, and implementing solutions.
• Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and inspire people from drivers to transit agency CEOs.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously through delegation, prioritization, and accountability.
• Strong attention to detail and operational judgment, with comfort working both in spreadsheets and in the field.
• Ability to manage complex, high-stakes stakeholder and partner relationships that are not fully within your control.
• Alignment with the mission of public agencies serving communities that may have limited alternatives.
• Flexibility and adaptability in rapidly changing operational situations.
