Data Center Operations Technician (Mechanical Systems)

Location: Mäntsälä, Finland; onsite work in a mission-critical data center

What you will do

• Operate and monitor mechanical infrastructure through the Building Management System and field inspections.
• Respond to alarms, equipment faults, and operational events using standard and emergency operating procedures.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on HVAC, cooling, pumps, heat exchangers, piping, and related systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures, complete repairs, and coordinate vendor support when required.
• Support commissioning, recommissioning, integrated systems testing, planned switching operations, and maintenance windows.
• Maintain equipment readings, shift records, and maintenance documentation in CMMS.

Requirements

• Vocational qualification or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC, building services engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related discipline; equivalent technical or military experience may be considered.
• 2–5 years of experience maintaining mechanical systems in data centers, industrial facilities, manufacturing, hospitals, power generation, or other critical environments.
• Knowledge of HVAC, chilled water and hydronic systems, pumps, motors, heat exchangers, mechanical fault diagnosis, BMS, CMMS, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.
• Applicants must already be authorized to work in Finland and provide proof of employment eligibility.
• Ability to follow Finnish occupational safety legislation, EU health and safety requirements, PTW, LOTO, risk assessment, and PPE procedures.

Nice to have

• Occupational Safety Card, Hot Work Card, First Aid Certificate, or refrigerant handling qualification.
• Finnish language skills.
• Experience with BMS and CMMS software.
