Senior Mechanical Engineer - Utilities

Location: Breda, Netherlands; onsite role

What you will do

• Own the performance, compliance, and continuity of designated mechanical utility systems throughout their lifecycle.
• Provide technical expertise for systems including HVAC, chilled water, boilers, compressed air, refrigeration, piping, pumps, and pressure equipment.
• Support mechanical design reviews, equipment selection, engineering standards, capital projects, upgrades, commissioning, qualification, and validation.
• Lead troubleshooting for complex mechanical equipment and utility systems.
• Review technical documentation, maintenance strategies, and engineering change controls.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, Reliability, Capital Projects, vendors, and regulatory stakeholders on continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline.
• Experience in mechanical, facilities, or utilities engineering within an industrial environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good English communication skills are required, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with CMMS platforms and engineering documentation.
