Maintenance Technician (Automated Production)

Location: On-site at a large production facility in the Apeldoorn region, Netherlands. The job title also references Lisbon.

Salary: €3,000–€4,500 gross per month, depending on knowledge and experience.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control-system faults.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated production machinery and installations.
• Diagnose equipment issues using electrical diagrams and technical documentation.
• Work with sensors, motors, frequency drives, pneumatics, and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Carry out technical modifications and improvements while identifying recurring reliability problems.
• Coordinate planned maintenance with technicians, production teams, and technical support staff.

Requirements

• Technical vocational education in electrical engineering, mechatronics, industrial maintenance, automation, or a comparable field.
• Practical experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, machinery, or production environments.
• Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and basic to good mechanical maintenance skills.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial machinery and an interest in PLC-controlled and automated equipment.
• Willingness to work a 3-shift schedule between approximately 05:30 and 21:30, with occasional weekend maintenance.
• Motivation to continue developing technical skills.
