Senior Hardware Product Manager

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States, or New York, NY, United States

Salary: USD 200,000–300,000 per year, plus discretionary performance-based bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Gather requirements from trading teams, drive system designs, improve underperforming components, and retire legacy hardware product lines.
• Design, prototype, test, and deliver boards, servers, racks, and datacenter hardware to production.
• Manage ODM and JDM relationships and hold vendors accountable for delivery milestones throughout the product lifecycle.
• Bridge hardware requirements with network, Linux operating system, and application layers.
• Manage BOMs, RFQs, and RFPs while serving as the primary point of contact for hardware vendors.
• Build vendor relationships through travel and navigate regional market requirements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in hardware product engineering or product management.
• Mechanical or electrical engineering experience; PE/FE credentials are strongly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of production rackmount server mechanical and electrical design, including power, cooling, and datacenter dynamics.
• Experience with ODM and JDM vendors and the ability to lead technical design reviews.
• Knowledge of finite element analysis, thermodynamics, measurement and instrumentation, CAD, and data visualization.
• Familiarity with Open Compute Project, MGX, heat rejection, voltage rack standards, PCIe, and related hardware technologies.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with direct liquid cooling systems.
• Knowledge of PCIe, Redfish, and OpenBMC.
• Linux server experience.
