Product Line Manager - Computing

Location: San Diego, California, United States. Applicants must be U.S. Persons eligible to obtain required export authorizations under ITAR and EAR regulations and must be able to obtain a security clearance.

Salary: $175,000–$225,000 USD base salary annually, excluding benefits and bonus/incentive.

What you will do

• Develop and implement strategy, roadmaps, and product management plans for the computing portfolio, including processing, control, and data storage products.
• Oversee computing product development, improvement projects, configuration changes, market releases, and support services.
• Define computing requirements, architectures, and design solutions while balancing cost, schedule, technical objectives, industry standards, and customer needs.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing, Design for Test, and Design for Cost methodologies to create cost-effective products.
• Analyze markets, competition, customer feedback, pricing, and demand to guide product priorities and innovation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop technical staff while communicating product strategy to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience developing embedded computing products such as single-board computers, personality modules, video processors, or power supplies.
• Experience with modern embedded processors, including ARM, PowerPC, and FPGA.
• At least 7 years in product development or product management, including 5+ years in the space and defense industry.
• Prior experience developing flight computers, mission or payload processing systems, and storage devices for space and defense applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, systems engineering, or science, plus knowledge of space and defense markets, trends, and regulatory requirements.
• Must be a U.S. Person and eligible to obtain required export authorizations and security clearance. Strong leadership, communication, strategic thinking, product management, hardware and software development, market analysis, and competitive analysis skills are required.
