Senior Applied AI Engineer, Agentic Systems

What you will do

• Define architecture and build approaches for agentic AI use cases, selecting suitable agents, RAG, retrieval, and orchestration patterns.
• Build reusable AI skills and integrations with shared platform services, including identity, access, and governance controls.
• Embed evaluation, testing, observability, benchmark sets, regression testing, and production monitoring into AI delivery.
• Implement AI solutions that meet security, compliance, governance, and human-in-the-loop requirements for regulated and GxP-relevant use cases.
• Contribute reusable skills, orchestration patterns, and evaluation assets to the broader AI platform.
• Partner with and upskill domain subject-matter experts and business practitioners while improving platform capabilities.

Requirements

• Strong full-stack engineering background with experience delivering LLM applications into production.
• Experience building AI agents, RAG solutions, evaluation frameworks, observability capabilities, and deployment processes.
• Working familiarity with MCP or equivalent tool-use protocols and composable systems architecture.
• Experience or willingness to work in regulated environments with audit trails and responsible AI controls.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with scientists, service leaders, commercial operators, executives, and technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; typically 8+ years of relevant experience.
