Senior AI Engineer

What you will do

• Design and build production-grade AI applications and Python services using LLMs and other AI capabilities.
• Translate business requirements and AI use cases into scalable technical solutions, backend services, APIs, workflows, and enterprise integrations.
• Design evaluation frameworks, repeatable test cases, and techniques for improving the reliability and predictability of LLM-powered features.
• Implement observability, instrumentation, tracing, logging, monitoring, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines for AI applications.
• Build reusable components for prompting, model interaction, retrieval, evaluation, and orchestration.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, review engineering work, resolve production issues, and collaborate directly with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, backend engineering, applied AI, or a related field.
• Strong Python fundamentals and experience building maintainable, production-grade Python applications, backend services, and APIs.
• Experience designing and deploying AI or LLM-powered products beyond proof-of-concept or notebook environments.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including modular design, testing, version control, and CI/CD.
• Hands-on experience evaluating LLM outputs, designing repeatable AI test cases, and monitoring production applications.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with experience balancing hands-on delivery, technical guidance, solution design, and stakeholder collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with RAG, semantic search, embeddings, vector databases, agentic workflows, structured outputs, tool calling, or schema-driven applications.
• Experience with AI evaluation, experimentation, or observability platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, cloud infrastructure, containers, or production deployment of Python services.
• Familiarity with modern Python frameworks and tooling for APIs, data validation, testing, and dependency management.
• Experience in consulting, financial services, manufacturing, enterprise environments, or supporting business-critical client applications.
