Power Model Engineer (RISC-V)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States. Proof of the right to work in the United States is required. Access to export-controlled technology is subject to applicable authorization or export licensing.

Salary: $178,848–$218,592 per year, plus potential variable or incentive compensation and equity.

What you will do

• Develop power models for processor architecture exploration and development.
• Correlate power models with RTL and silicon measurements.
• Develop methods to predict the power impact of design changes.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Computer Science or Computer Architecture.
• 3+ years of experience in power analysis and modeling.
• Experience analyzing power impacts at architecture, logic design, and circuit levels.
• Strong knowledge of high-performance out-of-order CPU architecture.
• Experience with ASIC power analysis and optimization.
• Software engineering competency for maintaining and refactoring large object-oriented codebases.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with hardware development, RTL or implementation flows, verification and validation, backend flows, FPGA flows, or software development.
• Strong self-starting, learning, and problem-solving skills.
