Hybrid, based out of Austin, TX or Santa Clara, CA, United States. Requires eligibility for U.S. export-controlled technology; contingent upon citizenship/permanent residency not in EAR Country Groups D:1, E:1, or E:2.

What you will do

• Drive improvements in CPU microarchitecture, verify performance, and correlate with RTL implementation.
• Enhance design environment, tools, and methodologies to boost development efficiency.
• Collaborate with RTL engineers and core architects to meet performance goals and debug issues.
• Apply innovative techniques to optimize power, performance, and area through experiments and evaluations.

Requirements

• Hybrid role based in Austin, TX or Santa Clara, CA; U.S. export compliance required (no EAR D:1, E:1, E:2 citizenship/residency)
• Skilled in C++ and Python, with knowledge of compilation, simulation, and emulation tools.
• Proficient in debugging RTL/logic across design hierarchies and pre-silicon environments.
• Knowledgeable in high-performance CPU core architecture and microarchitecture.
• Great at identifying problems, developing solutions, building tools, and optimizing workflows.
