Senior Power and Performance Engineer (CPU)

What you will do

• Measure, analyze, and debug workloads to identify power and performance gaps across Linux and Android/Chromebook environments.
• Analyze SoC, CPU, and platform power on a rail-by-rail basis and debug related issues.
• Create power and performance projections for upcoming Intel products and competitor platforms to support marketing decisions and internal KPI targets.
• Align with engineering teams and architects on measurements, estimates, and projections for internal and external communication.
• Guide engineering, field account, and marketing teams on Intel product power and performance positioning.
• Bring up complete test platforms, including setup, calibration, and measurement infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• At least 2 years of experience; preferred experience is 3–8 years.
• Experience in a post-silicon environment or in a Linux, Android, or Chromebook test environment.
• Knowledge of CPU microarchitecture and ability to analyze standard performance benchmarks.
• Experience with Linux or Android/Chromebook debug tools, board bring-up, power measurements with DAQ, and ITP/JTAG scripts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including developing customized content for technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SPEC CPU, Speedometer, Geekbench, MLPerf, PassMark, or AnTuTu.
• Knowledge of x86 or ARM CPU microarchitecture.
• Prior experience with Intel or other CPU products in a post-silicon engineering environment.
