Staff Fullstack Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA or Chicago, United States; San Francisco-based employees work hybrid with in-office Mondays and Wednesdays, while Chicago-based employees work remotely.

What you will do

• Build and ship full-stack features from database to UI for 340B compliance, intake, rebate management, and claims reconciliation workflows.
• Take product ideas from discovery through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Partner with product managers, designers, pharmacy operations experts, and other non-technical stakeholders.
• Make tradeoffs between delivery speed and long-term platform durability as the customer base scales.
• Contribute to the technical foundation, including embedding AI into product workflows.
• Review code, contribute to design documents, and raise engineering standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience across the stack.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, plus working proficiency in Python.
• Experience building customer-facing products rather than primarily internal tools or developer platforms.
• Ability to work across multiple layers of the stack and make independent technical decisions.
• Experience in fast-moving, high-growth environments and with production-ready systems in compliance-critical enterprise healthcare contexts.
• Availability to be based in San Francisco for the hybrid schedule or in Chicago for remote work.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java or Ruby.
• Healthcare or pharmacy industry experience.
• Experience helping startups scale from 0 to 1 and beyond.
