Fullstack Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in New York or Toronto; remote work may be considered depending on location

hirify.global develops an AI-native patent intelligence platform that uses large language models and generative AI to support intellectual property workflows from invention disclosure through litigation.

What you will do

• Build end-to-end features across the Python/FastAPI backend, Next.js frontend, and LLM inference pipeline.
• Develop and improve core backend, AI platform, and data pipeline services handling millions of patent analysis requests.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver new customer-facing features.
• Architect and improve systems, optimize frontend and backend performance, and increase scalability.
• Improve engineering practices and development experience while addressing technical debt.
• Participate in resolving critical production issues across services and stack layers.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in full-stack and API development within an agile software team.
• Experience with JavaScript; TypeScript experience is preferred.
• Experience with React/Next.js, TailwindCSS, state management libraries such as Redux or Zustand, and data-fetching libraries such as TanStack Query or SWR.
• Strong production experience with SQL and Python.
• Ability to own projects from ideation through completion and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly in a fast-paced startup environment.
