Cloud Engineer (Azure)

Location: Hybrid in Kansas City, Missouri; must live in the Kansas City area

What you will do

• Design, secure, implement, and deliver public and private Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Automate and template cloud services using infrastructure as code.
• Research, evaluate, test, and build cloud services aligned with engineering requirements.
• Optimize cloud services for performance, scalability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement security measures and maintain architecture, configuration, and procedure documentation.
• Develop cloud technology knowledge across software engineering teams through collaboration and mentorship.

Requirements

• Previous experience must include the title “Cloud Engineer”.
• Must have Kubernetes and Azure experience.
• Experience with public and private cloud infrastructure, networking, routing, and security.
• Experience designing, managing, and optimizing Kubernetes container workloads.
• Experience working with software engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, resilient, and performant solutions.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Terraform, telemetry tooling such as Datadog, and scripting with Python, PowerShell, or Shell.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cloud security and compliance standards.
• Financial services industry experience.
• Azure Solutions Architect certification.
• Experience with Ansible or Packer.
