Cloud Platform Engineer

Location: Singapore, Singapore; on-site. Only Singapore Citizens will be considered.

hirify.global is a Singapore Ministry of Defence agency building secure cloud infrastructure for national security missions.

What you will do

• Design and build self-service platform services such as message queues and observability services.
• Automate provisioning and scaling through infrastructure-as-code and GitOps workflows.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability systems using Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Observability, and related tools.
• Integrate security controls and compliance requirements with security teams.
• Improve platform onboarding and usability for application teams while reducing operational toil.
• Respond to incidents, conduct post-incident reviews, and drive reliability improvements.

Requirements

• Degree or background in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong programming or scripting experience with HCL, YAML, JavaScript, Python, or Bash.
• Good understanding of Linux, containers, networking fundamentals, and distributed system operations.
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience operating cloud services in production.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
• Experience implementing observability and monitoring for large-scale platforms.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Kubernetes security, including RBAC, admission controllers, and policy enforcement.
• Experience with GitOps workflows and tools such as ArgoCD or GitLab Runner.
• Reliability engineering experience with SLOs, error budgets, and capacity planning.
• Knowledge of observability stacks, networking protocols, and troubleshooting tools.
• Passion for open-source technologies.
