What you will do

• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, development, and pilot teams to validate UAS systems against requirements.
• Create, maintain, and execute test cases and suites for UAS validation.
• Develop and implement automated testing procedures to enhance efficiency.
• Analyze test results, compile reports, and organize testing artifacts for stakeholders.
• Identify defects, work with teams to resolve issues, and ensure product quality.
• Estimate testing efforts, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to QA process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in related field
• Eligible for Part 107 certification
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (ITAR/EAR compliance, E-Verify)
• Experience with sUAS platforms (multi-rotor or fixed-wing), test automation (BASH, Python), Linux, embedded systems, radio, networking.
• Proficiency in testing methodologies (system, integration, smoke, regression), Jira, TestRail or BugZilla, defect tracking, reporting.
• Strong problem-solving, communication skills; ability to travel to test site multiple times per week.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, aviation, or UAS technology.
• Proficiency with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), PX4, Ardupilot, Mavlink, QGroundControl, ATAK, UASTool.
• Familiarity with robotics, microcontrollers, Android OS, WebODM, UgCS, Pix4D, FAA Drone Zone, LAANC, waivers.
