Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid with core in-office days Monday through Thursday

Salary: $170,000–$230,000 annual salary, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Resolve core service performance issues at scale.
• Build secure and compliant platform products for customer needs.
• Write high-quality, robustly tested Java code.
• Understand customer problems and develop effective solutions.
• Document technical work for a rapidly scaling organization.
• Collaborate across company domains to strengthen the platform.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building production software systems.
• Expertise in threading, optimization, performance tuning, and concurrency management.
• Deep knowledge of Java frameworks, including Spring, as well as resiliency and encryption libraries.
• Experience with Java 11 or later, JPA ORM mapping, SQL, unit testing, and integration testing.
• Demonstrated ability to write scalable, performant, and maintainable code.
• Proficiency with AI-powered development tools across design, development, testing, and iteration.

Nice to have

• Experience with GCP or AWS.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with BigQuery or Redshift.
• Understanding of payment systems.
• Experience building AI agents for financial or payment platforms.
• Familiarity with LangChain, CrewAI, or AutoGen.
