FP&A Manager (Nuclear Energy)

Location: Torrance, California, United States. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Salary: $160,000–$185,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes end to end.
• Build and maintain the consolidated operating model across departments and business lines.
• Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting cycles and partner with department leaders on assumptions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, executive, and board-level reporting on performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Manage budget-versus-actual analysis, KPI dashboards, headcount planning, departmental budgets, and company-wide spend management.
• Build cash-flow forecasts and planning systems while supporting fundraising, investor relations, and the future growth of the FP&A team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, consulting, corporate finance, or a related role.
• Expert financial modeling skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Deep experience owning budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting cycles.
• Ability to produce executive- and board-ready financial materials under tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to operate effectively with incomplete information.

Nice to have

• Experience at a startup or high-growth company, including building FP&A processes from scratch.
• Experience managing or building a team.
• Experience with VC-backed companies, fundraising, investor relations, and board reporting.
• Experience in energy, infrastructure, hardware, advanced manufacturing, or other capital-intensive industries.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Adaptive, Power BI, Tableau, or similar ERP, planning, and BI tools.
