Lead Google Workspace Engineer (Google Workspace, Python): Governing, securing, and scaling Google Workspace Enterprise across a complex organization with an accent on automation, audit readiness, and access management. Focus on building API-driven administration, configuration-as-code workflows, and secure controls across Gmail, Drive, Vault, Chrome Management, and Data Loss Prevention.

What you will do
- Lead the technical strategy, governance, security posture, and roadmap for Google Workspace Enterprise.
- Establish scalable standards across Gmail, Drive, Vault, Chrome Management, Data Loss Prevention, Context-Aware Access, Security Center, administrative roles, and audit reporting.
- Advance automation-first platform operations using Python, Google Workspace APIs, REST APIs, Git-based workflows, and configuration-as-code practices.
- Partner with Security, Compliance, Identity and Access Management, Enterprise Architecture, and IT Engineering to implement secure, scalable controls.
- Mentor teammates, improve technical documentation, and strengthen Platform Operations standards and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience owning enterprise SaaS platforms in technical operations, including hands-on experience with Google Workspace Enterprise or a similar collaboration platform.
- Strong understanding of enterprise platform governance, security controls, access management, audit readiness, and operational standards.
- Experience with scripting, APIs, automation tools, Git-based workflows, or version control for platform administration, reporting, lifecycle management, and repeatable workflows.
- Experience with identity and access management concepts or tools such as Okta, Entra ID, Active Directory, SAML, or System for Cross-domain Identity Management.
- Strong communication, ownership, technical judgment, mentoring, and cross-functional influence skills.
