Head of IT

Location: San Francisco, United States. Relocation support and visa sponsorship may be available to bring candidates to San Francisco.

Annual salary: $200,000–$350,000, plus significant equity.

What you will do

• Own IT systems end to end, including endpoints, identity, SaaS, office infrastructure, support, and security.
• Lead a small IT team and set technical direction, priorities, and standards while remaining hands-on.
• Build automation and self-service capabilities to eliminate manual work and improve reliability.
• Manage SSO, SCIM, MFA, MDM, Google Workspace, Slack, and related infrastructure.
• Partner with Security on least privilege, endpoint protection, patching, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Own office technology across networking, audiovisual systems, conference rooms, and physical security.

Requirements

• Experience owning and scaling IT functions in a fast-paced technical environment.
• Hands-on leadership experience, including developing a small team and contributing technically.
• Deep experience with macOS, MDM, Google Workspace, SaaS, identity, and access management.
• Experience using automation, APIs, AI tools, Bash, and Python to eliminate manual work.
• Strong security experience across endpoints, identity, access, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Ability to work in or relocate to San Francisco; visa sponsorship may be available.
