Senior Program Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: San Francisco, United States; based at hirify.global's HQ with frequent travel to the manufacturing facility site during active build-out phases

Salary: $124,000–$190,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Own the master program plan for a new manufacturing facility from site selection through ramp to full production.
• Coordinate site selection with real estate, legal, and finance teams, evaluating cost, labor, logistics, and regulatory factors.
• Manage local and state incentive negotiations, including tax abatements, grants, and workforce development funds, and track compliance commitments.
• Coordinate permitting, construction oversight, utilities, infrastructure readiness, and equipment installation scheduling.
• Lead manufacturing readiness planning covering equipment qualification, process validation, staffing, training, safety certification, and quality systems.
• Run cross-functional reviews, manage risks and blockers, report to executives, coordinate external partners, and create repeatable facility-launch playbooks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of program or project management experience with direct experience launching manufacturing facilities, production lines, or large capital projects.
• Experience managing complex, multi-workstream programs with internal teams and external partners.
• Working knowledge of equipment qualification, process validation, EHS and safety compliance, and quality systems.
• Strong financial acumen, including capital budgets, forecasts, and incentive-related financial commitments.
• Ability to influence engineering, finance, legal, HR, and operations leaders without direct authority.
• Willingness to travel frequently to the facility site, potentially 30–50% or more depending on the program phase.

Nice to have

• Experience in EV/battery, electronics, hardware, or another relevant manufacturing vertical.
• Familiarity with site selection, economic incentive negotiations, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma.
• Experience working with state or local economic development agencies.
• PMP certification or equivalent program management training.
• Experience with MS Project, Smartsheet, Monday.com, or similar program management tools.
