Abuse Testing Technician (Battery Testing)

Location: McCarran, Nevada, United States; full-time, hands-on laboratory role

hirify.global is developing a localized battery supply chain focused on battery recovery, reuse, recycling, energy storage, and battery materials production.

What you will do

• Perform thermal, electrical, and mechanical abuse tests on battery modules and packs.
• Disassemble battery packs to analyze internal components, failure modes, and degradation patterns.
• Set up test fixtures, install sensors and instrumentation, and complete electrical harnessing.
• Document test results with detailed notes, photographs, and reports.
• Collect and analyze data for battery performance and safety evaluations.
• Work with engineers and safety teams to troubleshoot issues, improve testing processes, and maintain an organized lab.

Requirements

• Experience with high-voltage systems, battery modules, or power electronics is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, disassembly, and electrical harnessing.
• Understanding of safety procedures and PPE requirements for hazardous materials and high-voltage environments.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and written test procedures.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills for accurately recording test results.
• Ability to lift equipment and work with hand tools for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical testing equipment.
• Previous experience in battery testing, automotive, aerospace, or energy storage industries.
