Hybrid Software Engineer - Java (Mid Level)

Location: Hybrid; candidates must live within a 180-mile radius of Bloomington, Illinois, or Richardson, Texas, and work from home and in the office.

Salary: $85,500–$93,000 per year, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 10% of base salary.

What you will do

• Implement complex solutions for modernization of Property & Casualty systems.
• Translate functional requirements into application code and technical solutions.
• Develop, support, and maintain full-stack applications.
• Apply agile team principles and contribute to technical leadership.
• Collaborate with colleagues locally and across locations through clear written and verbal communication.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience with Java and object-oriented design principles.
• Experience with full-stack development using Java/J2EE, Python, JavaScript, React, Node, SQL, SOAP/REST, and Spring.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, and Docker.
• Experience with test automation tools such as Karate, Cucumber, or Codecept.
• Experience with Git and knowledge of agile methodologies.
• Must be eligible to work lawfully in the United States immediately; visa sponsorship, including H-1B sponsorship, is not available.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with AWS and foundational cloud technology knowledge.
• Experience with Splunk.
• Strong aptitude for learning new languages, frameworks, and technologies.
