Senior AWS Java Fullstack Developer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Lafayette, Louisiana; Knoxville, Tennessee; Columbia, South Carolina; or Birmingham, Alabama

Salary: $97,300–$138,600 per year

What you will do

• Build and enhance cloud-native enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, and AWS.
• Develop backend microservices and modern web applications across the full software development lifecycle.
• Implement automated testing, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and reliable deployment practices.
• Improve application resilience, security, maintainability, observability, logging, and performance.
• Use Terraform, Python, and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Own development work from requirements gathering through implementation, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with advanced Java skills.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, Angular, and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience developing, deploying, and supporting cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Experience with Python, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, GitLab CI/CD, automated testing, and Git workflows.
• Knowledge of application resiliency, monitoring, logging, observability, Agile/Scrum, and secure enterprise application development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
