Software Engineer, Full Stack, Level 5 (AI)

Location: United States; Bellevue, Los Angeles, New York, Palo Alto, or San Francisco. The role follows a default-together policy and requires working in an office 4+ days per week.

Base salary: $178,000–$313,000 annually, depending on pay zone, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The position is also eligible for RSU equity.

What you will do

• Build mobile and desktop web applications and scalable systems.
• Implement user-facing features and interface components with a focus on performance.
• Follow high-quality design, implementation, security, and production-readiness practices.
• Contribute to shared libraries, systems, and engineering standards.
• Log and analyze operational and engagement metrics.
• Use AI tools and high-velocity engineering workflows while auditing generated code for architecture, performance, and security risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience, or an equivalent advanced-degree pathway.
• Experience with full-stack web development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and at least one of Java, Golang, Node.js, or Python.
• Experience with JavaScript UI frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming, domain-driven design, unit testing, UI development, browser rendering, performance, and scalability.

Nice to have

• Experience with WebGL, Canvas, WebAssembly, service workers, or other advanced front-end technologies.
• Experience with GraphQL, large-scale microservices, distributed systems, NoSQL, Memcache, Redis, Kubernetes, or Google/AWS services.
