Sr Specialist, Parts Component Analysis and Part List (SBOM)

Location: Novi, Michigan, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office. Regular travel to Scout locations in Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC, plus approximately 10% domestic and/or international travel. A valid driver's license and passport are required.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Analyze complex engineering data, part structures, repair concepts, and disassembly levels to support service cost optimization.
• Own the development and continuous improvement of spare parts catalogues and SBOM data structures.
• Align catalogue content with engineering releases, quality approvals, product compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Compliance, Legal, and Repairability teams to resolve technical issues and manage translation workflows.
• Integrate technician feedback and field insights to improve catalogue usability, service documentation, repair strategies, and repair quality.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives by defining objectives, timelines, deliverables, and technical data quality improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in automotive parts catalogues, technical documentation, or engineering support.
• Advanced knowledge of vehicle systems, repair concepts, and parts structures.
• Experience solving complex technical problems with limited predefined solutions.
• Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, prioritization, collaboration, and leadership skills.
